Terms of Service

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Who we are

Skriva is a registered trade name of Webwakers, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) established in the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 91473381 ("Skriva", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@skriva.io.

These terms govern your use of the Skriva application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

Skriva is an AI-assisted content platform: it analyses websites you connect, derives a brand-voice profile, discovers topics, generates draft articles, and can publish approved articles to a content management system you configure. Features may evolve; we may add, change, or remove functionality, and will not materially reduce the core value of a paid plan during a paid period.

3. Accounts and security

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential. Two-factor authentication is available in your account settings and we recommend enabling it.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and use the Service in the course of a trade, business, craft, or profession.

4. Plans, billing, and refunds

Paid subscriptions are sold through our payment partner Polar Software Inc. ("Polar"), acting as Merchant of Record. Polar processes the payment, collects and remits applicable VAT/sales tax, and issues your invoices. Purchases are additionally subject to Polar's own terms. Business customers can add a company name and VAT number in the Polar billing portal (reachable from Account settings) so invoices are issued correctly, including EU reverse-charge treatment where applicable.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Prices may change; changes apply from the next billing period after notice.
  • Refund requests are handled reasonably and in line with Polar’s refund policy and applicable law.

5. Fair use and quotas

Plans include usage limits (for example: number of sites, article generations, and topic-discovery runs per billing period) and daily fair-use caps on resource-intensive operations such as site scans. Limits are shown in the app. We may throttle or suspend usage that circumvents limits or degrades the Service for others.

6. Acceptable use

  • Only connect websites and services you own or are authorised to manage.
  • Do not use the Service to produce or publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or harmful — including spam or content designed to manipulate search engines through misleading practices.
  • Do not attempt to probe, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, or resell it without our written consent.

7. AI-generated content

Drafts are generated by artificial-intelligence models and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or statements that require verification. The Service is built around human review: you decide what gets approved and published. You are solely responsible for reviewing generated content and for anything you publish, including its factual accuracy and legal compliance.

8. Your content and intellectual property

  • You retain all rights to the content you provide (your websites, brand materials, topics) and to the articles generated for you, to the extent we hold any such rights.
  • You grant us the licence needed to operate the Service: crawling and storing your site content, processing it with AI subprocessors, and delivering output to your configured destinations.
  • The Service itself — software, design, and branding — remains our property.

9. Connected services

When you connect third-party services (Google Search Console, WordPress, Payload, Statamic, Magento, or others), you warrant that you are authorised to do so. Their use is governed by the third party's own terms; we access them only as configured by you and store credentials encrypted.

10. Availability and warranty

We aim for high availability but provide the Service "as is" without a guaranteed uptime. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data — except in cases of intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Upon termination we delete your account data in line with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by Dutch law; disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
